Please follow the steps below to start using the PDF's. Please note the PDF's require access so please contact us for access credentials.

Step 1 - Adobe Reader

Preferably you should have the latest version of Adobe Reader.

To check what version of Adobe Reader you have installed.

Open Adobe Reader and select the Adobe Reader Menu

Select About Reader

A dialog will open and the version is displayed at the top. ie. Version 11.0.0

Step 2 - Downloading the texts


School staff should download the collection of static PDF's for placement on a school network (LAN) for student download. This will reduce the bandwidth used by students. Click here to download.

Students should download the required PDF from the following link. Click here and locate your year level.


Step 3 - Opening in Adobe Reader

Launch the PDF using Adobe Reader.

To ensure that you are launching the PDF correctly

Right click on the file or Ctrl + Click

Go to Open with and select Adobe Reader

If Adobe Reader is not in the list as is the case in the example. Select Other...

You will see a list of Applications. Locate Adobe Reader and press Open.

At this point you could check the box for Always Open With to avoid this in the future.

This is an important step as by default Mac OSX will open PDF's using Preview which does not support Rights Managed PDF's.

Step 4 - Logging in and Offline Policy

You will be prompted with a login screen enter your credentials we have supplied via email.

Tick the Remember me on this computer to store your credentials.

Press OK.

You will then be prompted to decide if you would like to be able to view the document offline.

Selecting Yes will allow you access when you are offline.

Selecting No will require that you are connected to the internet.

If you are using a public computer please ensure you select No.
